2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd High Country The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD made its debut this week, and let’s just say that not everyone is a big fan of what it looks like. Now, General Motors unveils the High Country model, which has an impressive mask with other variants. The high country is at the top of the Silverado HD series. Below, there are four levels of trim: Truck, Custom, LT and LTZ. Different decorations offer different design milestones, so a truck can look completely different from the other.

The High Country grid consists of horizontal grills and not oval bits that we saw in the LT model that started earlier this week. High Country also has the classic butterfly hub instead of the “Chevrolet” line. Take a look at the grid and you will notice the exclusive two-color metallic lining from High Country. GM also uses a combination of black, body color and chromium to differentiate different models from the range.

Buyers have a choice between two engine families. GM does not dissipate the beans in the new gasoline direct injection engine but is rumored to be 6.6-liter V-8 of the Navistar MD trucks. This engine will be connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. The other option is a V-8 turbodiesel combined with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission and generating a 910 lb-ft torque.

Billed as “the most powerful and advanced Silverado HD Ever”, the 2020 Silverado HD only shares the roof with its light brother Silverado 1500. The crew cabin models will have a more spacious cabin, as well as new bed steps. Two new powertrains groups will be available, including a brand new petrol engine with direct injection coupled to a six-speed transmission, or a turbo-diesel V8 that delivers an impressive torque of 910 lb-ft through a full New 10-speed transmission. More details will be revealed next February when the new Silverado HD probably debuts at the Chicago Auto Show before going on sale in mid-2019.

The automotive world did not meet the unveiling of the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD with open arms because many people had fun at the gargantuan mesh grid of the truck. The bow tie now features high-end high-Country trim that softens the appearance a bit by using metal crossbars to decorate the nose and dropping the huge Chevrolet brand of the other model in favor of a badge Traditional. The twisted look should be a little more appealing to the purists of the brand by looking a little more like microphones from the past.

In the release, Chevrolet will offer the Silverado HD on five levels, covering various parts of the pickup market. Each of them will look different and will be treated differently for the network. The work truck is for people who just need a truck for heavy transport. The Custom, LT, and LTZ feature increases equipment levels for buyers who intend to use the platform as a family carrier. The High Country range adds more luxurious touches to a more opulent cabin, even if the bed is full of bags of dirt.

Unfortunately, Chevy still does not provide photos from the inside, but the company reports that the second row of crew cabin models benefits from an extra three inches of rear legs compared to the current truck. Espionage shots indicate that a large infotainment screen dominates the top of the central stack.

The butterfly node will also update the Powertrains of Silverado HD, but the company will not provide much detail yet. A new direct-injection V8 will be available. The turbodiesel V8 will still be available producing 910 pounds-feet (1 234 Newton-meters) torque, and it will plug into a new 10-speed automatic provided by Allison.

Chevrolet will give the 2020 Silverado HD a full start in February 2019, and they’ll start arriving at dealerships in the middle of the year. Chevy describes the redesigned truck as the most advanced and powerful Silverado HD yet. For example, there are electronic driver aids to facilitate the transport of a trailer, and the towing and payload capabilities are up on the previous generation. There is also an increased space in the crew cabin models and the new bed treads on the flanks in addition to the back steps of the previous generation.

Two sets of drive units have been confirmed. One is a new gas engine with direct injection and automatic 6-speed. The other is a V-8 turbodiesel coupled with a 10-speed automatic. The diesel will deliver a torque of 910 pounds-feet, suggesting it would be a version of the previous generation of 6.6-liter rowing that offers 445 horsepower and a torque of 910 pounds.

Chevy holds more details about the 2500HD Silverado redesigned until the official start of next February, most likely at the Chicago Motor Show in 2019 this month. Sales are expected to begin in mid-2019.
