With stiff competition from newer and better rivals such as the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade, the 2022 Traverse upgrade may not be enough to set it apart from the rest.

The Traverse provides spacious accommodation for seven or eight passengers, including the third row for adults. Chevrolet’s six-tier model lineup allows Traverse to reach a broad market and appeal to a wide range of buyers.

2022 Chevy Traverse Exterior
Chevrolet is giving its three-line Traverse makeover. While the updates are mostly cosmetic, there are also improvements to the family SUV’s feature content.
It was originally intended to be a 2021 model, but in April Chevrolet announced it had moved to the 2022 model year.
The Traverse’s front grille is reshaped, leaving room for a larger lower bumper area with a dark section at the very bottom. This gives the Traverse a more truck-like appearance.
The narrower headlights feature integrated turn signal and daytime running lights, and the multi-element LED taillights give the rear an extra look.
The new four-wheel designs complement the exterior styling changes, but so far Chevy has only shown us two of the four designs – shown in the photos here on the High Country and Premier models.
2022 Chevy Traverse Engine
A standard 310 horsepower V-6 engine gives the Traverse the legs and a nine-speed automatic transmission that smoothly shifts gears inconspicuously. The V-6 pulled hard; The Traverse we tested proved to be the fastest in its class.

When parking or maneuvering at low speed, Traverse senses every measure of its size. However, increase the speed, and the big Chevy feels smaller than the original – ready, if not very athletic.
Steering power is low, but the system is precise and makes it easy to target large SUVs. The Traverse suspension is adjusted for a good balance between handling and ride comfort.

2022 Chevy Traverse Price and Release Date
Pricing and official releases are yet to be announced, but buyers should anticipate slight increases in the base price of each of the various Traverse trim levels. The 2020 models start at $ 30,995 for basic L front-wheel drive and go up to $ 54,395 for High Country all-wheel drive.
We expect the current second-generation Chevrolet Traverse to remain in production for at least 2022, 2023, and perhaps 2024 model years, and the all-new future Chevrolet Traverse will launch around the 2024 model year.
The mid-range LT model represents the best value among the Traverse’s six trim lineups as it adds good stuff like a second-row captain’s seat, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, SiriusXM satellite radio, fog lights, heated exterior mirrors. , and roof rails.
