2023 Chevy Blazer revives the ‘Blazer’ nameplate, announcing the new 2018 Chevrolet Blazer as the 2019 model year for its mid-size SUV lineup. Chevy Blazer 2023
sportier looks between the compact Equinox and the 3-row Traverse. It is available in various versions including L, 2.5L fabric, 3.6L fabric and leather, RS, and Premier.
In fact, automakers are primarily focused on increasing sales, and SUVs have been increasing sales in recent years.
The new Blazer responded to the ever-increasing demand for SUVs, but was initially discouraged; Longtime Blazer 4×4 K5 and S10 fans who have great respect for the Blazer’s off-road history haven’t responded positively.
But the new Blazer on-road isn’t all that bad. Offering different engines along with dozens of features, it found its own popularity in the last three years.
And now, it’s no surprise that the upcoming 2022 Chevrolet Blazer will undergo some minor changes as a carryover model.
Since Chevrolet’s main goal in launching this CUV line is to provide as much comfort as possible to the driver, we should not expect any new engine options.
As for the previous three models, a modest 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque will be the standard engine for the base model. It is not compatible with AWD systems, as it is only available with FWD.
An optional 2.0-liter turbo-four with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which is quite fuel-efficient, will also be available, priced higher, and offering an AWD setup.
Lastly, the third engine option is more suitable for those who want to have a little fun; a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. All three engines are mated to a 9-speed 9T50 automatic transmission.
2023 Chevy Blazer Preview
With a fierce face and sculpted body, the 2022 Chevy Blazer is arguably the most assertive midsize crossover in its segment. The sporty look continues on the inside with a design inspired by Chevy’s legendary muscle car, the Camaro.
Sure, this two-row SUV doesn’t offer a sharp V8, but its optional 308-horsepower V6 does offer some pretty solid engines. The base engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower, and all models offer either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, but neither combination is particularly great.
However, compared to most second and third-class seats, the Blazer grips better thanks to precise steering, cornering stability, and strong braking.
While there is plenty of room for people and cargo, the cabin is rather cheap and visibility from the outside is compromised. The Chevy Blazer 2023, with its hefty price tag, top-notch finish, and most coveted features, is also little value.
The Chevy Blazer is expected to dive deeper into the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 193 hp by 2023. This means the lineup will no longer be available in L or 1LT trim, and a turbocharged 2.0 four-cylinder is now standard.
This 4WD model is now standard with the Trailering package; option for front block version. Two new metallic colors have been added to the paint palette: Nitro Gold and Bright Blue.
All trims except Premium Premier are now available with a contrasting roof. Premier is now also available with the Advanced Convenience Package.

2023 Chevy Blazer Design
Contrary to its heritage, this midsize crossover is built for off-roading. The original design of this mid-size Chevrolet crossover was inspired by Chevy’s famous muscle car, the Camaro.
Modern and elegant design with bold lines, elegant headlights, sloping roof, and large two-level radiator grille.
With a wheelbase of 113 inches and an overall length of 192 inches, the Chevy Blazer 2023 will continue to produce unibody frames. The current design is completely in keeping with the character of the car, and it looks like the 2022 Chevy Blazer will continue to follow the same trend.
64.2 cubic feet of overall cargo space meets essential needs but could be more generous. However, there is already enough space for both rows.
The flowing trim pieces and circular air vents will carry over for the next 2023 Chevy Blazer. Overall, the interior design will not change much either.
2023 Chevy Blazer Interior
Inside, the Blazer is inspired by the Chevy Camaro and features an intuitive climate control system with circular vents under the center console that rotate to adjust the temperature.
Visual developments include soft plastic and two-tone colors. While the more luxurious models had more prominent surfaces and leather, our mid-range test car had cheap parts and was mostly gray.
The Blazer also offers desirable content such as exterior interior lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.
The front seats on our test vehicle have small cushions that have no support, but the rear seats have plenty of stretchable space that will keep everyone comfortable on long trips.
With 31 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 64 cubic feet with the seats folded down, we can accommodate 11 and 26 pieces of luggage, respectively.
There are several storage solutions for small items, including a front door holder that fits smartphones. There’s a decent-sized cupboard in front of the center console, and there’s plenty of room in this compartment, even without the renovations.
The rear seats are very shabby, with a trash can behind the center console and a small pocket on the door.
Each Blazer is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions. The system interface is attractive and easy to use, but the rotary controller helps reduce distractions.
A pair of USB ports located on the front and back of the center console are standard; Some models also have a 120-volt outlet.
The Chevy Blazer 2023 can also be equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot, a Bose audio system with eight speakers, built-in navigation, and a wireless phone charger.
2023 Chevy Blazer Feature
Chevrolet concentrated more on features to improve safety and improve handling. But one of the biggest drawbacks of the previous midsize Chevrolet crossover has to do with standard and optional features.
To get all these additional features, you have to spend more than rivals such as Chevrolet Blazer Ford Edge, Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe. In addition, many high-tech features satisfy the driver while sitting in the car and driving for hours.
Chevrolet will continue to offer current standard features including an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, AM/FM radio with dual-zone climate control, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth audio streaming, Internet.
Four USB ports, plus cruise control, keyless entry, 18-inch alloy wheels, and four-season tires, provide more comfort and safety for the driver.
Additional features that will continue to be available with updates include Rear Parking Assist, Wireless Smartphone Charging, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Fixed Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic warning, departure warning lane, rearview mirror, all-round camera system, forward collision warning, high-speed automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, etc.

2023 Chevy Blazer Engine
The Chevy Blazer 2023 features a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and an optional 3.6-liter V6 that produces 308 horsepower. Both are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The front-wheel-drive turbocharger is sufficient for city and highway operation, but the V6 offers impressive acceleration and more confidence on the road.
As powerful as the last Blazer RS we tested, the automatic transmission slowed down when we needed a quick acceleration.
With its constant silence and precise steering, the Blazer is the ultimate crossover to drive with a Chevrolet bow.
Safe and responsive on winding roads, especially the RS model with its unique steering and suspension settings.
Even without the sporty setup found in the RS, the Blazer is more attractive than many competitors. The standard 18-inch wheel-and-tire combo provides a smoother and quieter ride than the massive 21-inch RS model, which hits bumpy roads.
Fortunately, both models remain stationary on level ground and at highway speeds. steering’ Precise feedback satisfies during vigorous yet smooth sessions at low speeds. The powerful brake pedal responded immediately to our input, and the brakes stopped our Blazer RS test vehicle from hitting 70 mph in an impressive 165 feet.
2023 Chevy Blazer MPG
The standard four-turbo Blazer is rated for up to 22 mpg city and 29 highway. The V-6 version is a bit more thirsty, with an estimate of up to 20 mpg city and 27 highway.
We didn’t test the four-cylinder version on the economical 75mph route, which was part of our expanded test mode, but the Blazer’s all-wheel-drive V6 did 24mpg during our actual test.
The Honda Passport and Hyundai Santa Fe both reported 27 mpg in the same test. For more information on the Blazer’s fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
2023 Chevy Blazer Color
The Chevy Blazer 2023 comes in several color options and one less engine option. The base L model is no longer part of the lineup, meaning a 2.5-liter inline-four engine with 193bhp. no longer offered.
2.0-liter turbo engine with 228 hp. now serves as the base transmission with the optional 308 hp 3.6-liter V6 engine. Chevy Blazer
2023 now starts with a 2LT with a 2.0T engine, front-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The fuller 3LT offers a V6 variant, as well as a loaded Premier (pictured in silver) which looks a little different this year thanks to various exterior trim updates. All-wheel drive is available on all trim levels.
The RS sports car is equipped as standard with a V6 engine and a new two-tone paint job with a black hood (shown in red).
This dual-tone display is also optional on some LT monitors. Other new color options include Nitro Yellow Metallic and Blue Glow Metallic, but Chevy has yet to release a color image.
We don’t have pricing for the 2023 Chevy Blazer yet, but we expect the base price to rise significantly. Blazer L 2021
starting at $29,995, but the base price of the 2022 model will be close to the price of the 2021 Blazer LT starting at $34,595.
2023 Chevrolet Blazer Trim
While the midsize Chevy Blazer 2023 SUV has nothing to do with the old Blazer SUV, we found the new Chevy crossover still a fun and practical ride.
The Blazer RS, nicknamed the “Camaro SUV” for its bold yet familiar styling, has performance that goes beyond its looks. However, the RS is just one of many Chevy Blazer 2023 and is available with two engines.
So if Blazer is on your shortlist and you’re not sure which one to buy, keep reading our decor reviews.

- 2023 Chevy Blazer RS (MT option)

2023 Chevy Blazer Price
While we like the RS’s better handling characteristics and more aggressive look, it’s not the best value for money.
In fact, the Blazer is more expensive than most competitors, especially when it comes to the most desirable features, which are only available in RS and Premier.
Instead, we’d recommend the 3LT trim level, especially as it unlocks the option of a $600 V-6 engine, which increases max towing capacity from 3500 to 4500 pounds, when equipped with trailer gear, of course.
All-wheel drive is available for another $2800. We’ll opt for the V-6 and towing package and also add the Sound and Technology package which includes a 120-volt outlet, 360-degree camera system, additional USB port, Bose stereo, and camera mirrors.
- 2LT $34.595
- 3LT $38,795
- RS $42,295
- Premiere $42,295
2023 Chevy Blazer Release Date
In recent years, car manufacturers have shown an increasing interest in electric cars. The recently high level of sales of electric SUVs, such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model X and Y, and the Hyundai Kona Electric, confirm the growing popularity of these models.
Even so, it’s likely that the next Blazer crossover will be hybrid or fully electrified as well.
There has been no official announcement regarding the price or release date of the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. It’s expected to go on sale sometime in November, starting at $30,000 to $46,000 for the best trim.
