2023 Chevy Chevelle has entered a new year where General Motors renewed its trademark on the Chevelle nameplate in 2013, which we already know very well. We recently got information from Trans Am Worldwide which is a Tallahassee-based company that became famous for converting the Chevrolet Camaro into a modernized version of the 1970s Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
At this time it was sufficient to give people the opportunity to fix “Smoky and the Bandit” without having to drive a 40-year-old car. Interestingly Trans Am Worldwide has also made GTO-style cars but is now turning its attention to the 1970 Chevelle SS with its latest 70/SS offering.
The Chevy Chevelle is an iconic car that has been around for decades. It has gone through many changes over the years, and now, in 2023, we are seeing a complete redesign. The 2023 Chevy Chevelle has undergone a complete redesign, and it looks better than ever. The car has a sleek and modern look with a low, wide stance. 2023 Chevy Chevelle Reviews
The 2023 Chevrolet Chevelle started life as a convertible Camaro, which Trans Am Worldwide owner Tod Warmack told Fox News Autos made for an easier platform to update the body significantly more different than the Camaro than the company’s Trans Ams.
The changes made involved the whole look being modified on the whole body. Changing the Camaro to 70/SS. The car features reshaped fenders and a new front end with quad headlights, twin square grilles, and a new version of the chiseled Chevelle front bumper.
At the rear of 2023, the Chevy Chevelle has been extended and features a new trunk lid and square taillights, while a removable hardtop is available for those who prefer coupe style.
The interior is largely a remnant of the Camaro but features retro 1970s-style seats and a trellis shift lever. Exclusive 2023 Chevelle 70/SS redesigned with 1970s-style seats.
2023 Chevelle Updates
Chevrolet has certainly abandoned muscle cars for now, but the return of the Chevelle SS may be just what the company needs to turn things around.
General Motors is now struggling in the muscle car market. The Chevrolet Camaro has had poor sales in recent years, and it appears the company has thrown in the towel before its retirement in 2023. However, the folks at Trans Am Worldwide recently revived the Chevrolet Chevelle SS, which got us thinking. Rostislav Prokop, our digital artist, also created some renderings of the new Chevelle. Maybe the new Chevelle SS can solve GM’s muscle car conundrum.
The new Chevelle SS will bring back one of the most recognizable names in muscle car history. Additionally, it will breathe new life into the Chevrolet lineup. Allow them to compete with the 2024 Ford Mustang and most likely any Dodge electric muscle car.
A Chevelle SS Revival Would Be Perfect For Gearheads
What’s also true is that gearheads would love to see the Chevelle SS revived. Even though it is not an official Chevrolet product, the Trans Am Worldwide Chevelle SS is getting a lot of attention. The business took the Camaro’s underpinnings and gave it a retro-inspired body. Brings back memories of the first Chevelle SS. What they created is truly extraordinary, with a retro design that is both fresh and familiar. Using a proven product foundation is also a wise decision.
If Chevrolet had done this themselves, they would have developed a new foundation. The Chevelle SS Trans Am Worldwide looks fantastic. However, the Camaro’s underpinnings have aged a bit. The new Chevelle SS with inspired styling, but a new platform, will have gearheads drooling. The revival of the Chevelle SS name alone is an interesting proposition. The Chevelle name itself disappeared in 1977. Bringing back an old nickname doesn’t always work out for automakers. However, we believe bringing back the Chevelle SS will benefit both Chevrolet and GM.
New Chevelle SS Provides New Opportunities
The revival of the Chevelle SS opened up new possibilities for Chevrolet. For starters, it will allow them to compete with the latest Ford Mustang. Next year, the 2024 Mustang will practically take full control of the muscle car world. With the Camaro no longer available and Dodge’s muscle vehicles going electric. A size that may still not be popular among consumers. The new Chevelle SS with V8 power has the potential to compete with the Ford. On a more basic level, this is simply a new beginning for Chevrolet in the muscle car segment. For the first time in years, I started from scratch.
The redesigned Chevelle SS even allowed Chevrolet to develop an electric version. Maybe even alongside the standard ICE version. This will allow competition with Ford and Dodge, securing the future of muscle vehicles in the electric era.
What Are the Chances of a New Chevrolet Chevelle SS?
In terms of the chances of seeing a new Chevelle SS, the odds are slim. At least in terms of Chevrolet’s formal rebirth. Other than the latest version of the Camaro, manufacturers have not indicated that they want to revive the muscle vehicle. The lack of interest in the Camaro in recent years may suggest that the priority is the Corvette and its growing lineup of electric vehicles. Although unlikely, many people would welcome the arrival of a new Chevelle SS. Who knows, maybe it will happen one day.

New Update Chevrolet Chevelle 2023
Bespoke muscle car customizer Trans Am Worldwide has released another model that puts a modern twist on a classic design, this time in the form of the 70/SS. And if you guessed that it looked like a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, you’d guessed right. The Trans Am Worldwide 70/SS is also based on the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
The classic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS fascia returns with four round headlights and a wide, square grille. The side profile also matches the original muscle car with protruding fender ridges following the prominent belt line.
The 2023 Chevelle at the rear of the trunk has been modified to curve down and back into the body-colored bumper while the small taillights give it a clean look. The renderings of the 2023 Chevelle also offer a model with pseudo-chrome front and rear bumpers instead of the body color of the revealed model.
The Chevrolet Chevelle-inspired Trans Am Worldwide 70/SS can be specified with a number of different engines, starting with the base 6.2 liters LT1 V8 producing 450 horsepower.
Take one step and you’ll get a supercharged Magnuson 396 V8 engine but the real star of the show here is the brand’s own LS6/X 454 V8 engine which has been upgraded to produce 1,500 horsepower.
Only 25 examples of the top trim will be made, so better get your wallet out early if you want one. All engine options will send power to the rear wheels via a manual or automatic transmission.
The interior of the 70/SS has also been slightly modified from its donor Camaro with color-matched trim pieces, and a steering wheel sourced from the C7 Corvette. Thanks to the retractable convertible roof, the sun can be enjoyed while you row your gear in this machine monster.
